We had a fantastic day today making sock puppets.
We started by evaluating some different puppets. We talked about what we liked about them and what we could to do make them even better. Then we planned our puppets carefully, we considered what materials we could use and what we wanted them to look like.
Here are some pictures of our puppets. (Please view on a computer)
When we came into the classroom this week, Tom had completely changed our classroom. There was a hot air balloon in it! We quickly set off on our adventure in the balloon.
Whilst on our adventure we worked really hard to think of amazing adjectives to describe the settings below us.
We landed our hot air balloon, but then we ran out of time! Hopefully we will be able to save Katy next week!
What was your favourite part of the journey? Comment below with a description of what you saw.
This week a message in a bottle arrived in our classroom! Inside was a message from Katy asking for our help. We have written a letter back to tell her that we are going to do everything we can to save her! Next week we will start to think about how we can get to the island to help Katy!
Hello to Class 3, 4 and 16!
This is our year 1 blog where we will be posting information about all of your learning! We look forward to reading your replies to our blog.
Please ensure PE kit is in school including outdoor PE shoes. These need to be in school all week.
Learning logs will be marked on a Monday – remember learning log points go towards achieving bronze, silver, gold and platinum certificates and badges.
We know you all love to read! If you read 4 times a week you will receive a gold sticker which is the same as 10 HOUSE POINTS! We will check each Friday.
All of you have a matheletics and reading eggs login in the front of your purple books. This is additional learning for you and house points will be awarded for completing these.
Looking forward to a great term Mrs Holmes, Mrs Fox and Mrs Wizard
